As one of India's top tarot readers, I've seen it all - from heart-breaking relationship challenges to career roadblocks that keep clients awake at night.
After conducting thousands of readings, I know some questions come up over and over again. Here are the top 5 questions people ask a tarot reader, how I see them, and what you should really be asking:
1️⃣ "Will I find love soon?"
What clients expect: a yes/no reading about meeting "The One."
What I see: the card spreads will often show me deeper patterns. For example, why someone has a habit of attracting partners who are unavailable, or the person with a fear of commitment.
🔮 My Process:
☘️ Look for symbols like the Lovers, Two of Cups, or Knight of Cups (all positive signs)
☘️ Explore blockages (for example, a Five of Pentacles represents issues with self-worth or insecurity)
☘️ Reframe the question: "What do I need to let go of or heal so that I can invite in healthy love?"
Real example: A client was stuck on the Eight of Swords; after our reading she realized she was waiting for love instead of building a life that she is in love with first.
2️⃣ "Will I Get This Job/Promotion?"
What They Want: Confidence they will succeed.
What the Cards Often Reveal: The energy surrounding the opportunity, or that there's something better on its way.
💼 My Approach:
Six of Wands = Likely Victory
Seven of Pentacles = Waiting for results
The Tower = Unforeseen changes (sometimes a "no" is protection)
Better question: "How do I come into alignment with the right opportunity?"
3️⃣ "Is this person my soulmate?"
The Truth: "Soulmate" isn't always romantic - some people are just meant to help us learn and then to leave.
❤️ What I Look For:
The Sun + Ten of Cups = False hope for long term harmony
The Devil + Five of Swords = Toxic or karmic relationship
Judgement = (A relationship that helps transform you)
Try asking: "What is this relationship here to show me?"
4️⃣ "Why do I feel stuck?"
Why It’s Impactful: This question invites profound introspection.
🛑 Common Cards & Their Meanings:
The Hanged Man = Required pause
Eight of Swords = Self-imposed limits
Four of Cups = Missing opportunities by disconnecting
My advice, "Where is fear dressed as practicality?"
5️⃣ "Should I Move/Career Change/Start Over?"
What People Fear: Making the wrong choice.
What Tarot Shows: The energy surrounding each path, not an answer.
🌉 How I Support Clients:
Two of Wands = Expansion calling.
Four of Pentacles = Fear of change.
The Star = Trust the unknown.
Better Question: "What would I do if I wasn't afraid?"
